Saffron-Origin, Uses, Pros and Cons

Origin:

A light-shade purple colored flower, known as Crocus, from where comes Saffron. There is utmost 3-4 stigma in a single bulb, which is why Pure Saffron is expensive around the world. 4000-4500 flowers are required only to make Saffron 25-30 grams of saffron – that involves a lot of manual labor too. Uses and Advantages:

Red Saffron was traditionally used by religious healers to cure anything from heart disease to hemorrhoids. Current experiments have shown that large concentrations of saffron antioxidants can lead to reducing inflammation in the body and can be helpful in the treatment of sexual impairment or depression. Bipolar disorder: In individuals with bipolar disorder, there is a risk that it may contribute to anxiety and impulsive obedience (mania). If you have this disorder, don’t use saffron. Taking saffron can contribute to low blood pressure in low blood pressure individuals.
